We're getting married!

We invite you to share in our happiness as we unite in marriage on October 5, 2019

Our Story

Brittany and Ray were set up for the last sorority date party of Brittany’s senior year at the University of Michigan (Go Blue!). Brittany asked one of her friends to bring a friend and figured they would all hang out. It was her last date party of college and she just wanted to have a fun night with her girlfriends. The night before the date party, Brittany was at the finest UMich establishment, Rick’s American Café, where she saw Ray across the bar. She thought he was really cute and started to get very excited for the date party. The next day, Brittany was at her friend's house sitting on the porch. Ray and some of his friends were walking by on the other side on the street. Ray thought Brittany was really pretty in pictures and avoided walking over to say hi because he too wanted to wait until the date party to meet her. Later that day, Ray texted Brittany asking what kind of liquor to bring (what a gentleman!) and she said vodka because that’s what her friends were drinking. When Ray arrived at Brittany’s house they hit it off immediately! Also, they both had flasks of whiskey packed for the bus - ha! They had an amazing time at the date party and that night they stayed up talking until 3am. Later that week, girls in Brittany’s sorority asked her who her boyfriend was and why they haven’t seen him before. “I just met that guy!!” she said.

Ray and Brittany have been together since the very first night they met (April 11, 2014). After Brittany graduated, she moved back to NYC. Ray visited a few weeks later for Memorial Day Weekend and he loved New York! After Ray graduated he and Bobo moved to NYC. Four years later, Ray got down on one knee in Central Park near the boat pond which is one of Brittany’s favorite spots. She was completely surprised! After she said "Yes, of course!!" they met Brittany’s parents for drinks at Tavern on the Green and then a bunch of their friends were waiting in the park for them where they celebrated all day! It was absolutely perfect.
